Sharing a few black and white moments from Mitch & Gemma's beautiful late summer wedding.

I'm always a sucker for some B&W photos! Some of them just look better without colour to distract from the moment and the meaning. What do you think?

The before is very different to the after 🤣

I wring out every last drop of myself for my couples. Once I hope in my car at the end of a wedding day there isn’t a shred of creative or emotional energy left.

I’m knackered BUT…it’s a good knackered. A satisfied knackered. I absolutely love what I do - it’s why I pour so much of myself into doing it!

Also, if anyone has tips for stopping mascara from smudging on a sweaty day help a woman out. I looked in the rear view mirror and got a jumpscare 🤣

Idea for the reel was shamelessly stolen from .weddings

New on the blog: Tara & George's beautiful summer wedding at The Boathouse Nelson 🤍

These two met online during the very first week of Level 4 lockdown - George was in Picton, Tara in Wellington. Six weeks of talking later she caught the first passenger ferry across to meet him. The rest is history.

Their wedding day was relaxed, joyful, and SO much fun. Cocktail vibes, Salvitos pizza, beer pong, a hilarious best man speech, and golden hour portraits on the slipway. We even bumped into an older couple out celebrating their wedding anniversary - such a lovely reminder of what's ahead for Tara and George!

There are weddings you photograph and know you'll never forget. Tom and Kirsten's Golden Bay wedding was firmly in that category!

Years of friendship, a mid-ceremony downpour they laughed straight through, and a reception full of joy, music, and the best speeches I've ever heard.

Golden Bay has a way of making everything feel a little more magical, and days like this are exactly why I love what I do. If you're planning a wedding in the Nelson, Tasman or Golden Bay region and want someone who will have as much fun as your guests, I'd love to hear from you.

C&L’s wedding last October was the perfect way to kick off my wedding season!

Their day was a real reminder that intimate weddings hold a special kind of magic. Held at Lauren’s childhood home, their spring celebration featured a lakeside ceremony, heartfelt family touches, handmade details, and plenty of relaxed moments in the sunshine.

We finished up with sunset photos at Ruby Bay, and I loved that we managed to sneak away and they were able to get some time together just the two of them!

From a campervan road trip to a sunset wedding at Cable Bay 🌅

Niels and Janne travelled from Belgium with no fixed plans and decided, on a whim, to get married overlooking the ocean near Nelson. With celebrant Oakley Salton and two witnesses, they said their vows in their home language as the hills turned gold behind them.

They didn’t have rings, so they improvised with notebook binder rings. They drank bubbly from mugs on the beach. They hiked in trainers. And they laughed the entire time.

Completely untraditional. Completely perfect.

If you’re dreaming of a relaxed, intimate wedding that feels like you let me know - I'm SO keen to capture more of these!

Can you believe that these two were super nervous?!

One rainy evening at Rabbit Island, squeezed between downpours, Gemma & Mitch went from “we’re going to be awkward” to completely forgetting the camera was even there 🥹

They booked their engagement shoot because they didn’t have any real photos together and wanted to feel ready for their wedding day. What they didn’t expect? Actually having fun!

If you’re worried you’ll feel stiff or awkward… you’re exactly my kind of people.

I promise you'll have fun with me!

Happy Valentines Day to one of the loves of my life, my amazing girl Hunter!

Last weekend we spent a sunny morning picking flowers at the stunning Gina’s Garden and I had to take my camera along.

I'm in love with these photos and taking them gave me an idea...can you guess what I might be planning for March?!

Low-key, joyful, and completely them.

Matt & Jody’s wedding felt more like a summer party with their favourite people. But they weren’t just celebrating their love, they were bringing their families together, intentionally and beautifully.

Add in some very funny speeches, beautiful vows, and an epic dancefloor and you've got the recipe for a seriously incredible day!
