Photographer - New Zealand - Individual and Group Portraits, Corporate, Events, Teams, Weddings, Landscapes. I love Aotearoa / New Zealand, the people, culture, and land we are so lucky to live in. We are fortunate to be based here and working as a professional photographer opens many opportunities and possibilities. Photography would not be part of my life without the loving support of my wife, Jo. We lost two of our dogs from our family in the last two years, so we are enjoying our time with Molly as much as possible. Molly and Jo tend to be my photographic subjects on our walks together - they are very patient with me thankfully. Background: I am an outdoor professional (started in 1988) having taught, guided, and instructed in a range of New Zealand and world locations; including Antarctica, Australia, India, Africa, Canada, Scotland, and Norway. Starting work as a photographer in the late '80s shooting commercial rafting while following river trips in a kayak, it was not uncommon to solo boat grade 4/5 to stay ahead for the best shot. Working from the print, slide, and now digital, it is exciting to embrace new technology. Having the skills to photograph unusual places, being with other people - yet feel comfortable in the extremes of the most appalling or beautiful conditions is an advantage. Professional photography assignments are about clients and I approach this with a no-hassle style. That is, I will work tirelessly to make your experience easy and get the results you require. We have fun along the way, yet I remain focused and attentive to my client's jobs. Sharing my photography and experiences with others I hope inspires you to explore our beautiful country, the world, and take care of it.
