Here’s your permission to grow more flowers.

Go have too many ideas.

Start things you’ve never done before..and may never finish.

Go places. Explore. Meet new people and learn new things.

Get obsessed. Change direction.

Nobody is giving out prizes for being sensible 😆

Gracie & Bumblebee 🐶

When we first got Bumblebee, we realized how similar colouring they both were! But that is where the similarities end, 😂

Who do you think won on best trick pet?

Snails 🐌

Haha I bet I got you all annoyed!

But I'm talking about seed snails not slimy snails.

Have you ever grown your seeds in snails??

Yay! We got a review!

Did you know that writing a review is *THE MOST IMPORTANT* thing you can do for a small business?

Without reviews, people don't trust you.
With reviews, they do.

I always look for reviews before buying or visiting somewhere. Do you?

If you like what we do, or have bought from us before, we would really love you to write us a review to help make us look real 😁

You can review us at the top of our page or on our website.

Thank you!

Mornings are my new favourite thing!

When we moved house people said "I bet you are going to miss that view." The view across the valley was pretty special. But...

Nope!

Just look at that sky!

Maybe we should do morning hot tubs instead of evening hot tubs 🤔

So. Many. Decisions. 😵‍💫

We were not expecting to have to face so many decisions.

Every time we think we've got the plan sorted, another question (*problem) appears. And somehow that one decision seems to have created another six needing to be made beforehand.

It's exciting… but mostly very overwhelming!

But we are getting there. (Apologies to those I have been putting off giving any definitive answers to via email/messenger!) The rows are taking shape, the ideas are finally starting to fit together, connections are being made, and we're almost ready to share our final plan for Moa Gardens.

Clipboard Gracie is on the case. What could possibly go wrong? 😂🌸

August flew past in a whirlwind of fun,
With jobs to be finished and things to be done.

And somewhere amongst all the muddle and weather,
We started to see it all coming together.

Did your granny grow dahlias?

We used to hear this ALL the time when people visited our old dahlia garden called Green Footed Kiwi.

“Oh! My granny used to grow dahlias!”

And then the wonderful, and often inspirational stories would start. Always with big smiles.

Where they grew. What colours they were. Grandad's vegetable garden. Flowers on the kitchen table. And, remarkably often, tales of slugs, earwigs and bunnies!😂

It's funny how one completely ordinary thing can suddenly bring back a memory you haven't thought about for years.

And it got us thinking. How many of those little stories do our children actually know about their grandparents? In fact, I have no idea if my mum, or grandma grew dahlias as a kid. I know my mum grows them now...but I don't know any stories from the past.

That's something we've been thinking about a lot while Milly has been creating Letters to Grandma Moa.

Let's get the conversations started.

Have a read here 👇

Why do dahlias bring back so many memories? A story about grandmothers, childhood gardens and how little things can start wonderful family conversations.

Gracie & Bumblebee 🐶

We’ve been practising “Side”!

When I say “Side”, Bumblebee comes to my left side and sticks with me until I say “Clear". He still needs a bit of work, but he's getting pretty good!

I’m hoping it will be really useful when we’re out and need to pass people, dogs or bikes.

Now...

What is the best trick you think I could teach Bumblebee? Hard, funny, cute, useful... Anything counts! I want to hear it.
