Waiting on sourdough to prove… so I did what any normal person would do, stepped outside and caught the Aurora Australis dancing over the Tararua Ranges
Different kind of patience, same reward. One rises slowly… the other shows up when it feels like it.
Sometimes it pays to juggle both 🥰

Told my kids it was a black hole and it was going to swallow the universe 😂 (sweet dreams to them)

Really it was just a moon halo (moonbow) from last nights chilly night.
The halo is formed much like a rainbow, although it’s reflected off ice crystals opposed to just moisture in the air.

Weekends have gone from loud engines and petrol fumes, to fresh air and white noise…. Stark contrast of the hobbies.
Mangatainoka river under the Pahiatua bridge today bought zero fish for the boys but a beautiful view for me 🥰

Last night I went Aurora chasing.
Missed the big show early on due to getting to the location and realising my tripod mount was on the other camera at home (which id forgotten) out in the field i had a hell of a time with camera focusing issues, traffic and concerned passers by so called it an early one and came home. I dont know with the world the way it is now i felt a bit concerened being out there roadside in the dark alone.

Nevertheless i get to update the family albums of one the best families I know today so looking forward to pics in the coolest backyard gem! 📸

Busy afternoon mounting some prints for a friend to take to market. So if you are in Toko, and haven’t seen my epic limited edition custom framed toll bridge, or perhaps you may need something else for Mother’s Day, pop by and have a wee look, you will see starscapes, flowers and familier Landscapes available

Hall opens from 10am till 2pm.

Once racing is done I may just spend some Saturdays with my other love be it at markets or out finding some more awesome shots to share 🥰.
