From the archives, Central Nationals at Masterton Motorplex International Dragstrip Dec 2024. Nothing like two Top Alcohol cars doing side by side passes.

Jordan (Dirty Deeds) with a 6.224 pass at 227.99mph however Tamara in the Silk Racing Lucas Oil RE dragster with a 5.923 pass at 241.14mph taking the win

12 months yet it still feels like yesterday Katie, always missed!!

One year ago today, we lost our beautiful Katie.

It’s hard to believe an entire year has passed. Not a day goes by that you aren’t thought about, missed, and remembered. Your smile, your kindness, your cheeky sense of humour, and the way you could light up a room left a mark on everyone fortunate enough to know you.

People often say that time makes memories fade, but with you, the opposite has been true. Each day, your memory has only grown stronger. Rather than fading, your legacy continues to inspire us every single day—to be kinder, to work harder, to look after one another, and to make every moment count, just as you always did.

You weren’t just part of our race team—you were family. You had a way of making every person feel important, especially the kids. You encouraged them, celebrated their wins, picked them up after the tough days, and made them believe in themselves. The lessons you taught them, the laughs you shared, and the love you gave continue to live on in each of them.

The workshop isn’t the same without your laughter, and race weekends will never quite feel complete. But we see pieces of you everywhere—in the way we support each other, in the strength of our team, and in the determination to keep pushing forward. Your spirit lives on in every burnout, every pass down the track, every finish line, and every memory we make together on and off the track.

Today, and every day, we live with you in our hearts.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever a part of Crooks Racing.

Humbled n honored to get sportsperson of the year at the NZDRA awards last night.

The recognition of not only hours spent trackside but the hours at home after work uploading videos n photos.

It’s my contribution to the sport, I hear from racers of all classes how the videos have helped their own journeys to improve, figure out what is wrong with their set up, and even settle disputes with lights .. my fav saying is videos don’t lie ..
