A lovely family I had the privilege of meeting through my Mother's Day Giveaway 😊

Alongside their gallery, I asked Lonnesse to share a little reflection on motherhood..

"I can’t believe it’s been 6 months of being a mum! One of the most unexpected things for me has been how fast our little ones grow and develop. It truly is just like other parents say, time really does fly and you have to enjoy each moment as it comes. I most enjoy watching life through my baby’s eyes and noticing things I don’t usually pay attention to anymore. Like how bright the grass is, or walking under a canopy of trees and remembering to look up and appreciate how beautiful that really is. My mum has always been so patient and warm, letting me and my siblings learn at our own pace. I’d like to think I’ll be the same with my children."

When I thought about how to introduce myself to Palmerston North, I kept coming back to these photos of me and my beautiful friend Grace. What makes these photos powerful to me is that they’re about friendship, faith, joy, hope, presence, and connection — the things at the heart of who I am.

I’m Phoebe — the photographer behind Focus Fusion — and I’ve just moved to Palmerston North. I’m slowly finding my rhythm here… exploring photo spots, trying new cafés, and visiting a few local churches as I look for a community to settle into. I wonder if any of you have recommendations for me 👀

My photography style is warm, natural, and connection‑focused — the kind of ease you see in these photos.
