Today, we are thrilled to unveil our new brand identity!
Our new look reflects who we are today: a full-service digital archive. Whether it’s the 8mm film from a childhood holiday, VHS tapes in the attic, or those boxes of family photos, we are here to ensure they are safe, digitised, and ready to share for generations to come.

It's hard to believe that DigiSlidz has been operating for 20 years. Of course, we now do more than just slides. The latest is the conversion of 8 mm and Super8 films to digital movies. It has been interesting watching the technology change in 20 years.

Output media has gone from CDs to DVDs to USB drives. Editing technology has also improved significantly. We started off with Photoshop Elements and now use a range of programs for editing. These advancements have greatly expanded the scope of what we can now do.

So to celebrate this occasion, any order for the rest of this year will receive a commemorative pen.

The train trip on Monday had 2 objectives, the first was to ride a part of the rail network I had never been on to New Plymouth. It was a heritage train run by Glenbrook Vintage Railway. The carriage I was in was originally built in the 1930s. The original lamp holders were on the ceiling.

The scenery shots seemed to have a river and trees theme. The sky was a brilliant blue and cloudless

The second and most important objective was to finally meet Sharyn. We were first in touch 4 years ago about Barlow family history. We had been saying we must meet and we finally did it.

Another very happy customer. Frank was the father of one of my customers. She had few photos of him. So, the challenge was to apply some DigiSlidz magic and produce the couloured image. The other interesting aspect of this job was the client was in USA so all done over the internet.

Another challenge for DigiSlidz.

The photo on the left was taken in Samoa many years ago and had suffered quite a lot of damage as can be seen. Applied some DigiSlidz magic and the photo now the right-hand photo. Needless to say, the customer was delighted.
