Dean had been in touch with me to plan the perfect snowy Queenstown proposal, and the weather gods really did deliver! Fresh powder, beautiful blue skies and the most incredible mountain views made for the perfect morning for Dean to get down on one knee.⁣

This gorgeous doggo wandered into our family session at Homestead Bay and, honestly, we weren’t complaining! 😂🐶⁣

A few sticks thrown, plenty of giggles and some very sweet candid moments later… I think they earned a permanent spot in the gallery 📸⁣

I’m all about family photoshoots being relaxed, playful and full of genuine moments, and sometimes the best moments are the ones you never planned for! ✨⁣

A rainy family photoshoot might not be the weather you pictured when you booked your session, but sometimes the best thing you can do is simply embrace it and enjoy the moment.⁣
⁣
And that’s exactly what Laura and her beautiful family did! We spent an hour at stunning Moke Lake chasing ducks, chasing each other, running through the rain and capturing SO many beaming smiles along the way! 🥹⁣
⁣
Because family photos don’t have to be about perfect weather or everyone standing still and looking at the camera. They’re about the giggles, the chaos, the movement, the connection and all those little moments that make your family YOU!⁣

And honestly? I think the rain made this session even more special! 🤍🌧️⁣
