Last month I swapped snow-capped mountains for swaying palm trees, turquoise water and one incredible destination wedding at Plantation Island Resort Fiji. Safe to say I’m still dreaming about these gorgeous days in Fiji.⁣

Sascha and her lovely family swapped Brisbane’s sunny beaches for the snowy mountains of Queenstown, and despite the rain sticking around for most of the day, it cleared just in time for our session!⁣

It was definitely a chilly one, but they wrapped up warm, embraced the cold, and we captured some special memories of their time here in Queenstown with the most beautiful backdrop 🏔️⁣

Queenstown, we’re home! 🏔️🤍⁣⁣

After 18 months of travelling around Aotearoa in our campervan, capturing beautiful weddings in every corner of this incredible country, we’ve finally parked up and settled down in stunning Tāhuna, Queenstown.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It feels so special (and a little surreal!) to now call this place home. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever get tired of waking up to views of The Remarkables outside my window. 🏔️⁣⁣
⁣⁣
These beautiful moments captured at Homestead Bay, at the edge of Lake Wakatipu, are a little reminder of just how lucky we are to live here, surrounded by some of the most incredible scenery in New Zealand.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’m especially excited to experience my very first Queenstown winter and capture families and couples amongst those iconic snowy mountain backdrops. There really is something so magical about this time of year.⁣⁣

Today I’m heading to Fiji to photograph a wedding, and honestly, moments like this still don’t feel quite real! ⁣
⁣
Not long ago, I was working long shifts in the hospital, hoping that one day photography might become more than just a hobby. If you’d told me then, that I’d leave radiography behind, build a successful photography business, capture weddings across the UK and New Zealand, and be flown to beautiful places like Fiji to document someone’s special day... I never would have believed you!⁣

I’m incredibly grateful to every couple who has trusted me with their memories and made this journey possible 🤍⁣
⁣
After the wedding, my husband and I are staying on to celebrate our (three year delayed) honeymoon. Because if you’re going to finally take your honeymoon, Fiji seems like a pretty good place to do it!🍯🌙⁣
⁣
I’ll still be checking messages when I can, but replies may be a little slower than usual, while I swap my office for palm trees and turquoise water 🌴🤿🐠⁣
