White water rafting is by far one of my favourite outdoor activities. Not only is it a total rush hitting the rapids. But you’re surrounded by the most breathtaking views. And it’s a 2-3 hour long thrill ride. You’re also guaranteed to look sexy as hell in those windbreakers and wetsuits 😂

Thanks and for signing up for this early morning wake up call.

Queenstown was my week of adventure and conquering my fears. I’m not really afraid of heights, or the water, or even the dark. But I am very very scared of hurting my back and having to go under the knife again. Major spinal surgery was the scariest thing I’ve ever gone through. After my operation I felt so fragile. For the first year of recovery, I thought I was going to break all the time. We never talk about the mental part of recovery from injuries. I never want to be perceived as weak. I want to live a wild and crazy life, just like everybody else!! So for any of you with rods, fusions, or serious operations… hang in there! Life will get better. I’m 5 years post op - travelling the world solo, jumping out of planes, river rafting and swinging through canyons. Nobody will know your body better than you!

When covid hit my business hard, I had no idea how to pick up the pieces and rebuild. So I took this “extra time” as an opportunity to go out and find stories from the community. This is what I found.

Meet Jay. Artist, filmmaker, educator, puppeteer and one talented pancake fryer!

“I came from the food industry. So I had a connection to food. Combining storytelling and pancakes was a way for me to connect my two passions. It’s about watching people gather around food, talk and share. My art is dedicated to connecting community and amplifying the voices with deep stories, who are often left unheard. I like to support other small businesses as well. These berries are from, Molly. She’s the woman in the booth with all the fresh fruits and vegetables. For me, it’s about spreading the opportunities so we rise together.”

If you’re in the Mission area, be sure to stop by the Mission City Farmers Market and taste JP’s delicious pancakes and blueberry iced tea. You’ll soon find yourself surrounded by amazing people.

You can learn more about J Peachy here: https://jpeachygallery.com/ and be sure to like Pancakes and Puppetry. Mission City Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 9am-1pm.

People often say that big cities and small communities are different, and that we fight for different things. I disagree. We’re a lot closer than we think. Let's build on what connects us. And come together BC!

I wanted to highlight all of the courageous work fire fighters do to keep us safe! Shoutout to the BC Professional Fire Fighters all across this province who put their lives on the line everyday protecting our communities! I had a blast following you all around at

We talk about where our morning coffee comes from, but what about the cup and sleeve? Check out our first video for the series.

Thank you to Canfor, Carrier Lumber, Timber Span Wood Products, and Industrial Forestry Service for helping make this video happen.

There are moments in your life where every detail, even the little ones, never quite escape you. While editing this video I was brought back to Kitamaat Village. Where I got to meet world renowned artist, Sammy Robinson. He carves beautiful pieces of art to capture the history of the Haisla Nation.

“She is not afraid to challenge people who have been in the business a long time,” Ms. Walter said. “You think a 23- or 24-year-old woman might feel pretty intimidated. And she just doesn’t back down.”

Look out world - change is coming!

Hillary Clinton’s stunning defeat in 2016 prompted a record number of women to run for office. A new legion of young women running campaigns has followed.

A big thank you to Canadian Filipino for interviewing me. As someone who immigrated from the Philippines, I hope that I can bring more attention to issues affecting fellow immigrants.

Spitz is excited to give a voice to the Canadian-Filipino community and to bring to the table the issues close to the hearts of Filipino immigrants like her.

After working hard for 5 years at university, I worry about how I’ll be able to pay off my debt from tuition. Every British Columbian should have the opportunity to feel financially secure. When you work hard you should be able to get ahead. I want a government that builds a strong economy, allowing us to make important investments while still spending within our means, so taxpayers do not have to pay more than they already have to. 📚🏡☀️
