When covid hit my business hard, I had no idea how to pick up the pieces and rebuild. So I took this “extra time” as an opportunity to go out and find stories from the community. This is what I found.
Meet Jay. Artist, filmmaker, educator, puppeteer and one talented pancake fryer!
“I came from the food industry. So I had a connection to food. Combining storytelling and pancakes was a way for me to connect my two passions. It’s about watching people gather around food, talk and share. My art is dedicated to connecting community and amplifying the voices with deep stories, who are often left unheard. I like to support other small businesses as well. These berries are from, Molly. She’s the woman in the booth with all the fresh fruits and vegetables. For me, it’s about spreading the opportunities so we rise together.”
