The purple glow of dawn illuminates the frozen and wind-blown sagebrush beneath the Teton range on a cold winter’s morning. The thermostat on my car said -27 F when I set out into the snow to capture this image. The air was so cold that when I returned to my car later in the morning, my eyes had nearly frozen shut from the icy frost that had accumulated on my eyelashes and my camera began to malfunction. Mornings like this, despite the bitter cold, are always worth the challenges when the first light of the morning shines, revealing a frozen winter wonderland. Happy holidays!

Photo by It was a pleasant night in Pemuteran, Bali. This night was particularly special because a group of talented orphans came to share their story and song with us. Here, their guitarist plays a tune while girls dance and sing.

Skogafoss waterfall in Southern Iceland, without a doubt one of the most photographed waterfalls in the world. One of the last water features the Skógá river has before getting to the sea. Being so close to Reykjavik, Skogafoss is a very touristy spot.
