Naomi and I have very different opinions about sleeping in Stoffel (our ‘98 Toyota Surf.)
For me, it’s a last resort “okay, if we HAVE to” type of solution. For her, it’s the go-to “what’s more comfortable than that?” solution. What happens is that I wake up in the middle of the night wishing Stoffel was 10cm longer. And even though she can take advantage of being short (which has very little advantage elsewhere) she still has an average night's sleep. Also- we both end up rolling over 500 times, and we play a lovely game of see-saw on our air mattress.
Long story short - pictures of people sleeping in cars look cool. But sleeping with your legs stretched all the way out is way cooler!

S A M B U R U- A nomadic people, and second largest tribe to the Masai in Kenya. Clad - in stark contrast to the desolate world they live in- in bright red cloths and colourful vibrant jewelry. They are herdsmen, hard workers and one with their enviroment.

There’s something about the lights and smells and sounds of a big foreign city that can make you feel isolated and outkast; and at the same time draw you in and make you feel like you are part of a massive network…

The city of Amman is home to more than 1.8million, making it most-populated in Jordan. Usually I spend as little time as possible in cities like this, but this one drew me in with its unique people and dusty streets; and the feeling of having been transported to a whole different world.

I can’t wait to come back to explore it… a little slower next time 🌴

The Golden Hour’s at its ‘goldest’ in Africa 🌞
**I took this while cycling through Botswana in ‘16 on a campaign to highlight species extinction. We camped in the Makgadikgadi pans on Kubu Island between these Baobab trees.

If you were born in Africa there’s a constant tug on your heart to go back no matter where you are in the world.
