What will spring bring with El Niño to the west Coast? Big swells and howling winds?

Currently getting a full dose of that on the coast—heavy swell, relentless wind, and sidewall rain. El Niño typically drives strong south-westerly flows across the Tasman, firing continuous groundswells into the West Coast alongside fast-moving weather fronts. Forecasts are pointing to plenty of size this season, but tight windows to catch it clean.
