CODE RED. Finals day pumped, and was on hold for 4 hours. A couple of guys snuck out and got barreled while it was on hold!

During which time, I got some pictures and went for a surf with everybody else who had their boards in the car. I might be adding this one to the gallery as well!

The lineup cleared after a suspected seal bite involving a surf photographer during the WSL at Manu Bay, Raglan. At this stage it hasn’t been confirmed what caused the injury.

Stunning start to the WSL at Manu Bay, Raglan 🌊☀️ Small surf, but the point was looking unreal as surfers warmed up before the comp.

Great vibe down at the bay. Quick note for anyone heading in: you’ll need get the bus if you don’t have an access sticker 🚍

Also, it’s a great spot for photos of the pros — and despite rumours, professional camera gear is allowed 📸🔥

Controller is screaming "High Wind Warning," and the surfers are screaming through these heavy sections. Day 1 of the King and Queen of the Point is absolute raw Raglan power.
