What to do when there is a full moon and clouds. Shoot Infrared is my solution. This is IR830 on my hike today in Port Hills. The more clouds the better. Also gives me something to do when I am out in camper during the day.

I got to hang out on a mish with the MAN on Thursday night, into Friday morning for new moon. Went looking for some trees and was a super clear night. This is only my second shoot after trading in Canon gear to go back to Sony, so this is a quick and dirty test with new to me Sigma FE 14mm. More to come and thanks Larryn for an awesome night. Thanks also to Teaboy for organising the trade.

I hoped to get out and shoot some summer Milky Way but we haven’t really had a summer here. The only night I could get out had a 97% moon, so if you get lemons make lemonade. The Molesworth is an awesome place to camp and I will head through again over next couple of weeks on my Adventure bike.
