This has been a year’s work in progress as I’ve worked fulltime teaching first aid across BOP and Waikato and wondering how I can keep serving my community with my camera in between after doing this full time for 7 years ✨
I’ve lived life seeking Ikigai in my professional space, a Japanese concept which when you can find purpose by doing what you love, being able serving your community, what you are good at and what you can receive blessings for.
I’ve been so fortunate to awhi people in my community through photographing tangihanga, volunteering with heartfelt and after I lost my own dog, my rock in life during Covid- I felt more connected to photographing other people’s dogs as they became more and more grey.
It’s only fitting as I’ve photographed births and marriages to place honour into every other aspect of life too ✨
Earlier this year a song was helping me through a trying patch and the concept of phototherapy, light in the dark for growth connected with me in the lyrics as my mind ticked over in the background for a new ‘brand concept’ and it stuck with me.
A focus on the here and now as I focus on whānau and pets.
It’s also fitting as I return to staying local as a kaiako and serving my truest passion unexpectedly- teaching.
Current pricing is very limited but will remain as there’s still a few kinks to smooth out with websites and booking systems 😮💨I might be able to fit just one more booking this year depending on criteria.
Honourable mentions- thanks to Leo, Bo and Ludo for being the goodest of good dogs and to have fostered my love for capturing our best friends ✨🙏✨
Honourable mention also to who absolutely nailed designing my new logo! Wouldn’t feel so meaningful without you. From colours to fonts and including the dog…🙌🙌🙌 you made this a truely special experience for me to transition ✨
