A few shots from the Croucher and Crowder Ngawhini Classic Hillclimb on 14 February. Always a great pleasure to cover this event, and this year was extra special with the inclusion of the 1970 McLaren M10B. And in contrast is the 1927 Chevrolet Indy Car. What a beauty that is.

Its way too easy to take a photo and not do anything with it. But then often I like to sit on a photo for a few months, or years before I look at it again. Then if I dont like it, I'll delete, but if I like it.....Perfect example is this shot from March 2020. The moon was rising behind Tudor Towers. This was back in the days before it had a big plastic bag over it.

What a stunner of a day!! Went for a drive out to Tarawera for a coffee this afternoon. Landing Cafe. Great coffee. Great views. And I didnt have my camera so had to take these with my cell phone.
In the photo you will see the dark sillouette of Te Toroa Point on the left. Just around the point is where I grew up. Fantastic place.

I started my photography (career?) shooting motor rallys. Fast cars, gravel, dust, bad light, film. Digital has made it easier.
So I thought today I would try something a little different. Drove to the top of Kaimai's and discovered shooting trucks is not as easy as it looks. They may be slower cresting the summit but they are alot bigger.
