In the garden this morning with darling baby Malakai 🍃

One of the things I love most about in-home newborn sessions is capturing these early days in the place that will hold so many memories 🏡

The front yard where he’ll one day pick flowers for mummy, learn to kick a ball and splash around in a paddling pool on summer afternoons.

It’s so special documenting the very beginning of a story in the place where so much life will happen.

Naturally, Mr Indy wanted in on the action too 🐈

Mother’s Day Minis are here!🌷

This year they’ll be held in the beautiful Hey Love Studio, with each session including a mini floral bouquet by Jess from Hey Love Florals 💐

These sessions are intentionally created to celebrate motherhood, designed for mums, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and their children.

Come cuddle your babies, laugh with your toddlers, and hold your big kids close while I capture the love. One day, these images will remind you exactly how it felt to be their mum in this season.

When they first reached out, this family expressed that it was really important to them that they capture their wee boy while he was still a baby.

Six month in - a time where he still fits perfectly in your arms, yet his little personality is beginning to emerge.

Every little stage is a memory in the making and I feel so honoured to be the one to have captured it 🥹

If you looked at these photos, you’d never know…

You’d see a glowing mum, a proud big brother-to-be, soft light filling their home.

But behind the scenes? We both knew.

We were cutting it fine with this session. Two years ago we had an in-home maternity shoot planned for her first baby… but he had other plans and arrived early. This time, we weren’t missing it.

Even though she was almost due. Even though we both had that quiet inkling that something might have already begun.

She breathed through waves between frames. Smiled. Held her boy close. Rested her hands on the bump that was already working so hard.

By the next morning, she was holding her baby girl in her arms 🥹

These images aren’t just maternity photos. They hold so much meaning. They signify the closing of one chapter and the very beginning of another.

Sometimes you don’t realise you’re documenting history in the moment - but this was it 🤍

Hello Instagram… it’s been a minute (okay, 2 months 😅) This little corner got very neglected while we navigated our first big school holidays!

I’m finally resurfacing here and am so excited to be back in work mode. I have so many beautiful sessions to share with you (seriously, my camera roll is bursting) and I can’t wait to show you all the magic from the past couple of months 😍
