How do you know when is the best time to get after you get ? Well for Tim and Jo that would be 3 weeks! Engaged on New Year's and married on the 22nd Jan 2023, everything seemed to point to having a wedding sooner rather than later. With Jo's Mum already visiting from the UK to giver her away, finding the perfect -babe wedding dress, Tim's Dad officiating the marriage and a family-owned beach bach in , made for the perfect location for their nuptials. Close family and friends made this day for Tim and Jo so special and perfect in every way.
A little bit of a scary moment when their little dog 'Terry' came close to being swept out to sea, trying to retrieve a stick, with Tim getting in the water to go after him 😲.
Jo and Tim, even though we only had a few hours together, it's very easy to see you have everything you need to succeed! Congratulations to both of you on your special day! Your greatest adventure has just begun 💖

lovely people, and what better way to kick off 2023 than with a very special and beautiful small in coastal on New Years Day!
Let me introduce Stuart and Amy, who came all the way from the UK to spend a long overdue (no thanks to ) Christmas with family who are now living in New Plymouth. Since they were going to be with family over the festive season, what better reason than to get married while here in NZ?! With Stuart's New Plymouth based family, his brother with his family also came out from the UK for Christmas and for the wedding, with Amy's family joining virtually from the UK.
We had a perfect day for Stuart and Amy's intimate wedding, with Celebrant on the Coast - Murray Weir channeling the Aroha from whanau near and far, getting us all in the feels and whipping out the tissues.
Stuart and Amy , thank you for being the amazing people you are. We had so much fun and laughter - it was the chilled/relaxed wedding you wanted

I got to experience another first on Saturday 5th June....my first wedding, which also was the groom's 50th !
This has been 20 years in the making, and for Helen and Jeremiah's whanau and friends, they pulled out all the stops to make their special day worthy of their mana and filled with so much aroha and beautiful waiata.
Ngā mihi nui Helen, Jeremiah and whanau for allowing me the honor of capturing you wedding/birthday day.

While it may not have been your typical sunny day at , Emma and Ross were determined to say their "I Do's" at their favourite camping spot in front of their family. The torrential rain held off for the all important ceremony, and the wind and moody clouds helped add a bit of drama to the occasion (check out that flying veil!). With a shared love and appreciation of cars, Emma's purple got special pride of place on the day. A warm, intimate and very relaxed shared with their family, thank you Emma, Ross and family for making your wedding day one to remember!.....and braving the elements with me 😉

Alert Level 2.....again. is testing the nerves and resolve of a lot of people lately. Least of all some of my couples, whose plans have had to change as quickly as the Alert Levels themselves.
I've been a busy bee over February, kids back to school, my last grandparent passing way suddenly, my kids and hubby sick with head colds (I didn't get it!), and finished off the month with an at the beach (photos to come).

March is here and is on the way, let's hope things will be more settled than the changing weather and Alert Levels,

Stay safe everyone

They say that all good things comes to those who wait. Well, Lydia and Blair have done their fair share of waiting, as their was suppose to have happened back in early April! Thanks to a global pandemic and a nationwide lockdown, they made the tough call to postpone their and finally tied the knot in front of family and friends on October 24th at Fountain Gardens. A wedding worth waiting for, as the weather, the venue, the day overall was perfect!
again Lydia and Blair, you embody the phrase "Love is patience, love is kind". Love and best wishes to you both!
