Happy new year all.
It's been a pretty great year, definitely busy though.

Between life, work, and buying a house halfway through the year, I still haven't been able to do as much photography as I would have liked. I do think I got out more than last year though, and definitely had some of the same enjoyment of taking photos as I used to which had been missing when I was barely getting out.

Here's to 2025, no doubt another year full of adventures, photos, work, and house projects

Happy attempt to blow up the British parliament day for those who celebrate.
For our celebration we went for a walk to the local park and enjoyed watching the fireworks everybody around us was setting off. I just took my camera with the lens that was already on it so I'm pretty happy with the shots I was able to get.

It's been a while since I posted but I do have some photos sitting ready to post so hopefully I'll do some more before too long.

Seems like there's a limitation and FB won't let me post all of this in 1 post so apologies for the spam.
The sky did some pretty cool things last night.
Met some new people, stood in the cold, and made some hot chocolates in the middle of nowhere. It was a fun 4 hours watching the Aurora Australis .

The ADHD kicked in and I couldn't just leave the camera alone, so here are 4 shorter time lapses rather than 1 long one

Had a trip down to Palmy the other weekend and I took all of 9 photos.

We've just planned our travels over summer today, so hopefully I'll have some more time to take photos during that.

It's been a pretty fantastic year being married.

We had a nice trip away this weekend, but I actually didn't take that many photos though. I did take some nice astro shots, so hopefully when I have a chance to edit I'll post some of those.

I got out for sunrise with this guy this morning. It was pretty foggy, in typical Waikato fashion, but still had a good time and enjoyed getting out.
I'm not sure why I hadn't been to this lookout before given that I live only about 5 minutes away, but I'll have to come back sometime when it isn't foggy.

I know I haven't posted regularly recently, but each year on my birthday, I like to reflect back on the year that has passed. It was a big year, with lots of life changes, travel, and general craziness. Getting married back in September was definitely the highlight of the last year, despite all the stress and hecticness that came with that. There's definitely been a lot of learning and growth since then. I'm glad for where I am now. I can't wait to see what the next year holds. Hopefully as the weather improves, I'll start picking up the camera a bit more again

We went out camping over the weekend so naturally I did some astro photography. There was some light pollution from the neighbouring campers but I'm pretty happy with this star trail I got
