One thing all of these businesses have in common is that they genuinely care about what they do, their people and the experience they create for their clients and honestly, that’s the kind of energy we LOVE capturing.

From getting brave talking to camera, to showing behind-the-scenes moments, team interactions, day-to-day processes and all the little things that make their businesses unique… it’s been so cool watching these brands lean further into showing up online and more of the humans behind what they do.

Because while there may be other businesses in similar industries… there’s nothing that can replicate the people, personalities and team culture behind each of these brands 👏🏻

And while we are definitely video-first content creators, we also absolutely LOVE capturing still imagery throughout our monthly shoots too 📸

One of the biggest things we notice when we walk into businesses to film content is this 👇

The moments business owners think are “nothing special”… are often the EXACT moments people find most interesting!

Because while you’re busy just doing your job, your audience is quietly noticing:
✨ how you interact with people
✨ how your process works
✨ how thoughtful you are
✨ how your team communicates
✨ the little details you care about
✨ the way you do things differently

And honestly?
THAT is the stuff that builds trust and connection online 👏

As content creators, we always come into shoots with planned shot lists and strategy, but some of our favourite content moments actually happen while simply observing your business in motion.

We’re constantly noticing:
🎬 little interactions
🎬 funny team moments
🎬 thoughtful processes
🎬 behind-the-scenes routines
🎬 client interactions
🎬 problem-solving moments
🎬 “Wait… can you do that again?” moments 😅

And so often people are surprised when we point the camera toward something they’ve completely overlooked because to THEM it just feels normal.

But from the outside looking in?
Those little moments are often the exact reason people can feel drawn to your business.

Can we talk about last night??? 🙌🏻🥳

11 creatives around one table.
Photographers. Videographers. Editors. Storytellers. Designers. Social Media Creatives. Business owners. Humans from all different corners of Wellington coming together simply to connect, share stories, laugh, talk shop, and support one another.

And honestly? It was the absolute epitome of community over competition!

There were even businesses in the room that technically “compete” with each other… and it just didn’t matter. Because this meet-up vibe isn’t about ego, gatekeeping, or proving who’s better. It’s about connection. Collaboration. Shared understanding. Shared experiences.

THIS is exactly why we brought Wellington Content Creators Collective to life 👏🏻 To create a space where local creatives can:
✨ meet people in the industry
✨ build genuine relationships
✨ share knowledge and insights
✨ break down barriers
✨ create referral networks
✨ feel less alone in the chaos of creative business life

Because especially in a city the size of Wellington, community matters. A LOT.

And honestly… seeing double digits around that table last night made us feel validated in the fact that a space like this is so needed, and we felt just really grateful to be creating some IRL connection time that can be of real value.
