For a few quiet hours above New Zealand, the Moon slipped into Earth’s shadow and turned deep crimson — a rare Blood Moon that felt almost unreal to watch unfold.

From bright silver… to shadow… to that haunting red glow.

Moments like this remind me how small we are — and how lucky we are to look up at the right time.

After a long time away from the camera, it feels good to be back behind the lens.

2024 was fully committed to Hard Enduro, finishing 2nd overall in the NZ Hard Enduro Championships (Bronze class). That season included a broken wrist in Rnd 3, which I continued to race on through the remainder of the series.

2025 was intended to be a year of surgeries and recovery. With procedures delayed, it became an unexpected gap year; away from competition and focused on mental and physical health, while waiting for the reset.

With surgery now completed and a long recovery ahead, I’m shifting focus back to another long-standing passion: photography. This image marks that return; slowing things down, paying attention to detail, and reconnecting with the creative side while healing properly.

More macro and nature work to come as recovery continues.
