It's a van. But it's also been a key source of idenity and focus for me over the last 9 months. I spent 6 months in New Zealand last year off the back of 6 years of full time work, and while I had some wonderful experiences, I felt a little lost in life. Having this project to throw myself at, while truly experiencing life in a radically different way to what I was used to, has been a massive learning experience for me. I can't claim to be a climbing bum, but living life in a van that I've built myself has been pretty damn cool. Anyways... here it is in front of some stars down in the desert, a pretty honest reflection of how van life has treated me in recent months!

Far from my usual focus in climbing, bouldering in Joshua Tree was an unexpected cherry on the top of the 4 week climbing cake. I've realised a bunch of shortcomings in my climbing, and I'd forgotten how much a regular dose of bouldering could do for me on ropes. I've also enjoyed the challenge of shooting it - I usually focus on exposure, scale and leading lines in climbing photography and for the most part they are totally absent in bouldering! Anywayssss, here's pulling moves on a popular V7 variant of Caveman.

Of the most memorable routes from an intensive 4 week US climbing trip, Seperate Reality in Yosemite stands out for simply having the wildest movements in a spectacular position. It's hard to capture both the movements and the position in a single shot, but in this case the movements won. showing how it's done!

Digging through the archives from well over a year ago for other projects, found this little gem of hangouts in Tasman Saddle Hut, reflections of Aoraki sunsets, drying ski skins and overall good times up on the glaciers. The northern hemisphere has been incredible, but I still deeply miss the New Zealand mountains ❤ Posting this via a schedule from the stinking hot desert of Utah, it's quite a stark contrast 😂
