Mountains of waste replace fields of rice.

Celebrating that was 2025.

Even though there has been some truly sh*tty things go down this past year, I am grateful. I am humble and I thank you for being part of my community, if you’ve trusted me with a shoot, if we’ve worked together, been connected or even if we haven’t met yet.

Ngā mihi & Meri Kirihimete
Thank you and Merry Christmas,

The world has lost a great man, but his light will burn on through his family. 💔

As my social media feeds are filled with pictures of Thomas Vialletet , it’s clear how many people Tom affected with his fun bright lust for life.

Tom and his client died ascending Aoraki Mt Cook on Monday night. It breaks my heart that his wife and young family will navigate this world without him. But his legacy lives on in Layla and Ethan.

Tom was my go to guide for all my mountain photoshoots, as a keen photographer himself he got what it takes to get me to the right spot safely.

I’m forever grateful to have had you in my life Tom, the ski & mountaineering community will feel this great loss deeply. I will always remember the adventures we had together, how you kept me safe and the laughs we shared in the mountains. Kia Kaha ❤️‍🩹xx

Ps. if you would like to help this young family at an unimaginably hard time, donate

TRAPPED IN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN THE WORLD 🌍

Excerpt from my latest news letter, head to my website to read past issues and to sign up!:

It sounds like a freight train is going past every 10 seconds, the hut shakes, I cannot sleep, visions of snow piling up outside, will we even be able to open the door in the morning? The tip of my nose is frozen. Wrapped in a cocoon sleeping bag, tentatively I poke an arm out to reach for my water bottle, the high alpine air is so drying. The liquid inside lays frozen solid. Gutted. I’ll have to leave the moderate heat of my cocoon to melt some water. It’s negative -10°C. INSIDE.

It’s been a bit of a dream of mine to be awarded Top 200 advertising photographers. And this year I got round to entering. And this year I am in. Wow, so thrilled.

Here is one of the images I submitted, shot with .co.nz for Elanco. Thank you for all who entrust me to tell their story. And to Michele at what a team 🙌🏼

New Zealand farmers are bloody hard workers. I know, I’m married to one. Up before dawn, out till dark, caring for the land and animals while producing top quality grass fed meat and dairy.

I believe producing food is one of the most honourable professions a person can do. It comes with  enormous responsibility to produce nourishing food for living beings.  Most farmers take this responsibly incredibly seriously thus working around the clock to produce quality food and fibre.

I absolutely love telling stories from the land and have been hugely privileged to work with some talented agency creative directors, collaborating to bring their creative visions to life in the rural sector!

“Although it is small, it is greenstone”
- Maori Proverb

WORKSHOP is an ongoing personal photography project of mine. This space belongs to Dave Goodin, on Rakiura Stewart Island. Dave is a pounamu carver, who shares his talent by teaching others how to carve.

There is something about people’s creative spaces that fascinates me, the little insights into its owners personality. What happens in there? What is created? Only the space knows and it is a direct reflection of the character that occupies it...

In time for Mother’s Day, Id love top share a cute as pie campaign I shot for Southern Cross earlier this year. I acknowledge that mothers day can be a hard day also, so my heartfelt wishes to all xx

Creating magic worlds has been a favourite thing of mine to do so naturally I was thrilled to collaborate with the clever creative directors at Auckland’s TBWA agency to shoot this magical campaign for Southern Cross Health Insurance.

With a talented creative team we were able to create magical scenarios brought to life by our wee stars. It’s such a treat to work with children, I absolutely love it. They’re always their authentic selves and when you make them feel comfortable, the magic just happens! It was a fun challenge to shoot these three stories for both stills and motion.
I get such a buzz to see my work out in the wild on billboards across the country. Huge thanks to all involved bringing this campaign to life!
