NGC 5139 - Omega Centauri

Omega Centauri, NGC 5139, is the brightest globular cluster in the sky, and the largest and most luminous globular orbiting the Milky Way. It is so massive that it is thought to be the nucleus of a dwarf galaxy that merged with the Milky Way long ago.
