Last weeks full moon marked the birthing of our latest offering on our Patreon titled; of woven and light-pooled origins. In collaboration with , and we began to explore the overlaps in practice between photography and the fibre arts 🤎

Each artist reflects on the ways in which fibre arts processes influence their thinking and have the capacity to become active participants in the making process.

Embrace process driven curiosity, touch & play, and listen to what they might whisper back. The full offering can be found on our Patreon now and is available to purchase as a one-off offering too!

We are now a week post Potluck Slideshow and we are still feeling so much love and joy!

It was an absolute honour for us to do this mahi and see all the lovely faces that showed up to support. We saw so many beautiful photographs - you are all so talented!

We want to say a big mihi to all of you who showed up, but especially to the team at .nz who always have our backs. To for your lovely words, and .nz for your photos, and - for everything!
To our incredibly generous sponsors for the gifts we were able to share on the night as prizes - such a treat!

And to our sweet friends and loved ones who helped us pull this together - we couldn’t do this without you! We are so so grateful!

it’s finally happening! We can’t wait to see u tonight!

Anyone is welcome, you don’t need to have submitted in order to attend the screening, so you’re welcome to bring a friend, or meet a new one there!

We are also fortunate enough to have the support of some amazing local businesses who are providing prizes for the event. Abel Fragrance, Zealandia, Maison Arcana, Swimsuit Coffee, and San Fran! Each of these businesses are hand selecting their favourite image to win their prize - the only catch is that you have to be at the event in order to receive it!

We have been making some merch on pre-loved tee’s using hand cut Lino stamps - so all pieces are unique and very special! They will be sold on a pay what you can/sliding scale beginning at $15. We have limited numbers and sizes available, so arrive on time to get in first.

You can access the venue from both Majoribanks Street and Pirie Street. There is limited parking on both streets. Additionally, there is a bus stop close to the venue on Pirie Street before the tunnel, where the number 2 bus goes frequently.

This is it! At MIDNIGHT TONIGHT our submissions portal for Potluck Slideshow will close, and with it your chance to be a part of another amazing community photography event 🌀

Potluck Slideshow is exactly what it sounds like! A warm, delicious coming together of different photographs of all sorts of flavours, in the form of a slideshow, with a potluck spread to nourish us at the screening event. We welcome photographers and artists of all different backgrounds to come together and celebrate the local Pōneke photographic community. The theme, moments of wonder, encourages us to see the beauty and joy in the world right now, despite how challenging that may be. Optimism is
key to hope, and hope is what we need right now!

The film drop off cutoff date may have passed yesterday, however you can still submit images that live in your archive + even better if they were processed by .nz
