CONTROVERSIAL OPINION 👀 some of my favourite wedding “venues” haven’t actually been venues at all…

They’ve been family homes. Private properties. Backyards. Places with history and a little bit of soul already built into them.

And there is just something about them that I bloody LOVE.

Maybe it’s the fact that they aren’t designed for weddings. Maybe it’s because no one else’s wedding will ever look quite the same there. Or maybe it’s because getting married somewhere that already means something to you makes the photographs feel even more nostalgic.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE an epic wedding venue but man oh man, you give me an old family home, a beautiful garden, your favourite people spilling out onto the lawn and a wedding that feels completely like YOU...

The belly laughs I shared with these two were just the BEST. Love these two! And together?! They’re a match made in literal heaven!!! 🫶🏼

Hayley + Liam celebrated their beautiful intimate wedding at Ātaahua Garden Venue in Tauranga, and I honestly adored everything about this day. The connection these two share, the gorgeous garden setting, Hayley’s DRESS... and don’t even get me started on that Spanish-style lace veil 😭🤌🏼

So honoured to have another feature with Together Journal 🤗🫶🏼

This one was a pretty damn special celebration, all the way over on the Sunshine Coast at the beautiful Palm Creek Estate 🌴✨

Sarah + Dave were an absolute DELIGHT to capture, and getting to document such a big part of their story is something I’ll always remember 🥹 I had the best time celebrating alongside them and all of their favourite people!

THE POWER OF BELIEF ✨

So incredibly honoured to have been a guest speaker at this year’s NZIPP event in Christchurch, speaking about something that is so very close to my heart ♥️ thank you to everyone for putting up with the new sexy voice 🥴 bloody bugs! But I wasn’t going to let that stop me from sharing my message!

It’s such a surreal feeling to be given the opportunity to share such a big part of my story but more importantly, the message that has come from it!

I walk away from every one of these experiences on SUCH a high. The fact that I get to stand in a room, share the lessons life has taught me, and hopefully leave even one person believing in themselves and their life a little more… I cannot quite believe this is something I get to do! SO grateful!!! 🥹

And there’s more to come!! 🥹✨

I have the absolute honour of speaking at Fujifilm’s Fujifilm Photos NZ event on the 22nd of August, followed by another VERY exciting event in September that I cannot wait to share more about 👀🥹
