3-image Panorama shot in the north-west direction towards Mt Taranaki from Otatoka beach north of Wanganui, in front of me or facing south the wall towered over and behind me to the north, not even in your wildest dreams could you ever imagine an Aurora like this in the north island.

Abstract Landscape, taken during the winter last year on one of the central north island rural roads, it was late in the day after an afternoon of brief snow coming and going when Louise from Ironstone & Clay Photography and I were waiting to see if the light would break through the clouds, fortunately we had beautiful soft light before sunset and the light afternoon snow left the hill country landscape looking very unique.

The Chateau Tongariro - a sad day really when it closes after this weekend.........over the last 20 plus years i have driven past the Chateau hundreds of times, there is something extra special about the Chateau in winter especially in the snow with the lights illuminating the surround landscape.........hopefully this is not my last photo in the snow with the lights on.
