🌱 3 × 3 SPRING RESET - WORKOUT
If you want results, you need consistency, and here’s the thing about consistency…
It has to be achievable.
I really want to simplify this.
Choose your three exercises. You can do the ones I’m doing, or choose your own three.
For me, I LOVE training lower body with weights, so I’m going to do what I enjoy because I know I’m much more likely to keep doing it.
But - I also need balance.
So I’ll finish with press-ups, and at the moment I’m working on my grip strength for aerial yoga, so I’ll add in things like bar hangs, hanging knee raises and scapular pulls.
If you’re always training upper body, bring some lower body work in. If you’re always training legs, make sure you’re giving your upper body some love too.
Balance matters.
The older I get, the more mindful I’ve become about how I train.
When I was younger, I could absolutely thrash my body and think that was the whole point.
These days?
I want my movement to be functional.
Enjoyable, achievable, and sustainable.
Because if you hate what you’re doing, or you’ve made your routine so difficult that it doesn’t fit into your life, you’re probably not going to keep doing it, and consistency is where the results come from.
So begin with the end in mind.
What do you actually want?
To feel strong?
Move better?
Build muscle?
Have more energy?
Stay mobile as you age?
Work backwards from there.
What are the actions that will get you there?
Then make those actions simple enough that you can actually repeat them.
My workout today.
🔥 10 Deep Squats
🔥 10 Rear-Foot Elevated Split Squats - each leg
🔥 10 Single-Leg Deadlifts - each leg
× 3 rounds
Then my finisher:
30 press-ups - on my knees.
Bar hang, knee raises, scapula pulls.
That’s it.
You don’t need the perfect plan, just a plan that you enjoy enough to keep doing.
Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Do what you enjoy.
Find your balance.
Keep showing up.
Small actions. Consistently repeated. Big changes.
