Loud extroverted red romance is out and gentle bold and steady is in.
Love doesn’t have to scream from the mountain tops to be seen, it can whisper and be just as powerful.

Falling from the chaos of the external noise into a soft embrace of strength looked pretty wonderful on them ✨

I’m very used to loud, I think I was born loud into a very loud world.
Their whole day felt like a quiet calm.
A celebration, but for them not the world.

It was my first wedding of the 2026 season and my nerves were on fire.
But, the simple happiness of family and friends being together and the inclusiveness of one another was just so dam wholesome. The only loud was the love they were receiving and the love they held for their people.

The skies showering them in sunshine and Manaia too, all the whispered blessings.
Absolutely beautiful day, happy ever after lovers!

Loving this secret energy ✨📸✨

They were just spending some time with me to create some whānau memories but they left with so much more.

Being entrusted with this secret was next level. I knew he had planned to propose to her during the session but the timing of when was his moment to choose.
Throughout the creative ~ the suspense was so real!

Timing chosen perfectly, one beautiful YES & an instant glow up of pure happiness. The estatic happiness of their children though, oh my heart.
The feels, these are the good things in life 🤍

I never imagined being present for proposals ~ being a sacred realm of unity. It is a privilege and one I will never forget.

Secrets,
Sometimes they are worth the tale....

A little tale had been told by her, a date set and a location planned.
All he had to was agree to take the weekend away.
This was to be their twentieth wedding anniversary, and a surprise vow renewal ceremony was in motion.

We knew the secret but he didnt.
Their special people knew but he didnt.
As the plans came together the tales escalated.

Arriving on the beach, the music played and their most beloved gathered, he was a touch bewildered, not quite the day out he'd expected 🙈

This little secret by the seaside started unfolding into the most beautiful surprise, full of love, tears, laughter & hope.
He said YES,
Again they promised, again they chose each other and again they left as
Mr & Mrs Whittingham, Jo & Dave and as some know Jo, as Niks mum.

These beautiful people have been in my life since I was 14, we have a precious bond and I love them ever so dearly 🤍

How lucky I was to be in on the surprise....

Many a storm they have weathered together, storms you would not wish upon anyone. Yet together they sail through the darkness, their love is their lighthouse, their love is inspiring.

A steadfast love full of adventure, a timeless love that has learnt compassion and understanding a love that has evolved and survived. A love so true.

A new season of marriage is here, may the intrepid travels continue to fill the memory bank and the luxury champers fill your glasses.

One chance meeting under the strobe lights and a little serendipty turned into a thirteen year adventure of love and now are one week deep into their precious vows, enamoured.

The bones of this love are unbreakable and the strength of that was felt in every tear that flowed from their loved one’s eyes, and there were many tears.

From the moment we arrived into the gorgeous bridal space until we left the party on the dance floor, there was nothing but celebration, connection and joy shining for these two.
The weather goddess blessed the sun soaked coastal lines and made for the most beautiful backdrop for them to elevate their everything.

This is my first wedding of the new season and how lucky I was to start that with Kayla & Jamal, it was SUCH a beautiful day with a beautiful crew,

Their lovestory has so much history.
This love has depth, this love has survived. It was always them.

Destiny ✨

The rain poured and so it cleansed.

The feeling in the room was everything this little gig of mine is about. I felt rather lucky to be there experiencing their love with my little camera.

A sense of contentment, an ease of the uncertain and reassurance of the happiness that is now truly theirs.
It really is theirs.

As the children’s words they so bravely shared echoed through the room their tears fell but through the smiles that they all beamed ever so brightly.
The joy was undeniably palpable.

Battlefield love is the best, its strength is tangible. It has learnt and it’s unlearnt.
It is vunerable and it’s intimidating.
It has travelled through the darkness, searched and found its true light, safely this love is home.
All that was only a house is now their home.

Once upon a time…..🔮

Don’t you think it is remarkable how two souls find each other on a planet of eight billion other beings?
The oceans, the lands, the paths, the roads taken ~ all in divine timing, it all led them to meet. It is all written in the stars.
Or was it her baking!?….

Seriously though, the happiness my heart felt creating for these gorgeous beings was beyond.

Engagement moments 🤎

When true love shows up it makes us stronger and watching love show up is one of my favourite things about creating moments.
The way it supports, holds space and allows grace in situations where softness is needed.
So quiet but visible to me in how you dance together, how the lead is taken, the laughter, the freedom.
It is so beautiful.

We don’t really do photos they said”….that’s ok I said, we will just have fun and go with the wind, it was so windy!
Ahhhh the love, it took over and they danced. They empowered each other, they held space for comfort in an uncomfortable situation.

That’s true love, it supports you to be your best version of yourself like these two🤎

I am so glad I put in the time and love to create a fundraiser for Jay and so very grateful to the amazing local business owners that collaborated with me, ensuring we had a beautiful prize to be won.

I had no idea the prize would bring so much joy, laughter and togetherness to a family who truly needed an opportunity to be in that space and to be together.

The gift of giving is underrated and kindness is so so powerful.

We created some everlasting memories set in a location close to their hearts.
Dodging a rain storm and a few other challenges along the way, this creative was meant to be.

The happiness my images brought to their lives ~ priceless and that is everything to me 🤍
