I wondered if I should tone down my blurbs a little bit….are they too much?
Then I thought no way, it’s me, it’s genuine and it’s the beauty I see in you!

So, a gorgeous friend of mine is in the most sacred season of her womanhood.
A time where overwhelming love and fear and courage and excitement and quiet anticipation of the beautiful unknown all mix together.
The journey of a mother becoming ✨
Meeting a power within yourself that you never knew existed, the magic of life itself.
Sacred.

Lucky me chasing them around the trees as they laughed & beamed with the overflowing joy that is them.
No words can describe their connection, no words can express the love shared between these three.
It just is.
Can’t wait to see you holding the little hands that have chosen yours.

Oh my goodness, it has been so long since I’ve shared little moments from my beautiful sessions.

I first met these two love birds in Whangaumu Bay for an engagement session. Braden had proposed there and it was a really special place for them.
Eryn told me straight up she doesn’t do photos and that they had never felt the comfort to take selfies and had no photos together….thats totally ok because lucky for you Eryn, I’m your best hype girl so let’s go 🙌
So here we are by the seaside just us 3 & the dreaded camera.
No pressure much 😅

Just embrace the moment & be yourselves I said…
That engagement shoot to this day was one of my favourites. It really struck me how privileged I was to be trusted and how beautiful their unseen by the lens love was but also they ROCKED it and we made some gorgeous memories.

Fast forward to their wedding day & look at what their love made 😍

Bag pipes played out and tears of joy flowed, laughter filled the silent spaces and my most fond minutes are those of the parents. Two sets of parents knowing there precious ones are and will be so deeply loved.

This is what love is. It’s not loud, it’s not showy it doesn’t need a huge audience of validation.
It’s soft, genuine and strong.
It holds a space of comfort in the most uncomfortable situations.
A deep sense of belonging and knowing your person is right there to catch you should you ever fall.

The one smile that matters from across a busy room, the gentle hand on your shoulder, the door being held a little longer, your favourite treats in the shopping, the warm cup of tea, the snuggliest of Sunday mornings.
The most special kind of love and it’s all yours. Enjoy!

Loud extroverted red romance is out and gentle bold and steady is in.
Love doesn’t have to scream from the mountain tops to be seen, it can whisper and be just as powerful.

Falling from the chaos of the external noise into a soft embrace of strength looked pretty wonderful on them ✨

I’m very used to loud, I think I was born loud into a very loud world.
Their whole day felt like a quiet calm.
A celebration, but for them not the world.

It was my first wedding of the 2026 season and my nerves were on fire.
But, the simple happiness of family and friends being together and the inclusiveness of one another was just so dam wholesome. The only loud was the love they were receiving and the love they held for their people.

The skies showering them in sunshine and Manaia too, all the whispered blessings.
Absolutely beautiful day, happy ever after lovers!

Loving this secret energy ✨📸✨

They were just spending some time with me to create some whānau memories but they left with so much more.

Being entrusted with this secret was next level. I knew he had planned to propose to her during the session but the timing of when was his moment to choose.
Throughout the creative ~ the suspense was so real!

Timing chosen perfectly, one beautiful YES & an instant glow up of pure happiness. The estatic happiness of their children though, oh my heart.
The feels, these are the good things in life 🤍

I never imagined being present for proposals ~ being a sacred realm of unity. It is a privilege and one I will never forget.

Sometimes they are worth the tale....

A little tale had been told by her, a date set and a location planned.
All he had to was agree to take the weekend away.
This was to be their twentieth wedding anniversary, and a surprise vow renewal ceremony was in motion.

We knew the secret but he didnt.
Their special people knew but he didnt.
As the plans came together the tales escalated.

Arriving on the beach, the music played and their most beloved gathered, he was a touch bewildered, not quite the day out he'd expected 🙈

This little secret by the seaside started unfolding into the most beautiful surprise, full of love, tears, laughter & hope.
He said YES,
Again they promised, again they chose each other and again they left as
Mr & Mrs Whittingham, Jo & Dave and as some know Jo, as Niks mum.

These beautiful people have been in my life since I was 14, we have a precious bond and I love them ever so dearly 🤍

How lucky I was to be in on the surprise....

Many a storm they have weathered together, storms you would not wish upon anyone. Yet together they sail through the darkness, their love is their lighthouse, their love is inspiring.

A steadfast love full of adventure, a timeless love that has learnt compassion and understanding a love that has evolved and survived. A love so true.

A new season of marriage is here, may the intrepid travels continue to fill the memory bank and the luxury champers fill your glasses.

Normalising the swipe right, a tiny little chance taken, a slight movement made that changes the entire trajectory of your lives?!!! Amazing ✨

Just authentically them.
Vibrant like the sunflowers, a bright generous and kind type of love.
A simple yet strong, endearing and homely type of love.
Happiness.
Beautiful vows and the sweetest moments as their littlest babe joined the promises they made to eachother.

One chance meeting under the strobe lights and a little serendipty turned into a thirteen year adventure of love and now are one week deep into their precious vows, enamoured.

The bones of this love are unbreakable and the strength of that was felt in every tear that flowed from their loved one’s eyes, and there were many tears.

From the moment we arrived into the gorgeous bridal space until we left the party on the dance floor, there was nothing but celebration, connection and joy shining for these two.
The weather goddess blessed the sun soaked coastal lines and made for the most beautiful backdrop for them to elevate their everything.

This is my first wedding of the new season and how lucky I was to start that with Kayla & Jamal, it was SUCH a beautiful day with a beautiful crew,
you definitely caught the one xo
