In the Pisco Valley on the Nazca Plateau in Peru, there's a series of over 5,000 man sized holes that run up a hill and continue for 1.5 kilometers. NO ONE knows who built them or why. Some say there were graves, defensive military positions, for food storage, or as a way to measure produce given to the Inca state as a tribute.
