Quick facts about rabies 🔍

Hindi po dahil stray animal, automatically may rabies virus na sila. At hindi po dahil indoor dog or may breed, ay ligtas na sila.
It is not inborn. It is contracted from other rabid animals through bites or through saliva (licking of wounds). Thus, it is crucial to have your pets vaccinated, para po ma-protect sila.
Free anti-rabies vaccines are given by city vets or animal welfare groups should you wish to avail of it. You can also go to your trusted veterinary clinics and have your pets vaccinated for a certain fee. MAY PARAAN PO PARA MABAKUNAHAN ANG ALAGA.
STRAY ANIMALS ARE NOT AT FAULT that they have to fend for themselves in the streets. We know they only exist because irresponsible humans do. So support your local animal welfare groups and/or LGUs during their free kapon and free bakuna initiatives.
Break the stigma. Read up, learn, and understand.
Most importantly, do not spread false information. It may not harm you directly, but it can definitely harm the defenseless and the voiceless.
