On Monday, June 15, 2015, the province of Pampanga commemorates the 24th anniversary of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption. The Photo Pop joins in the remembering the tragedy that hit Pampanga and left many homeless and lost for a while. It is a day for the Kapampangans to reflect and celebrate triumph over the biggest disaster that hit Pampanga.
The eruption of Mt. Pinatubo is a big historical event ever experienced by the Kapampangans. It changed and affected so many lives. It was also a test of faith in God and resiliency of the people as the province and nearby areas have been greatly affected by the tragedy.
To date, there are no more visible reminders of the wrath of the volcano, no more sad, emotional stories that made the whole world cry for us. Pampanga has evidently recovered from the devastation. It has already moved on. Kapampangans remained optimistic. Pampanga now enjoys continuous growth and development, just look around you. Thank you!
