Some children walk for hours… not to play, not to explore — but simply to go to school.

Hidden deep in the mountains is a small school that the world almost forgot — the United Nations Women Aeta School. When the rains come, the path disappears into mud and rivers. For months, it becomes nearly unreachable. Yet every day they can, the children still come… barefoot, hungry, determined.

Because for them, school is hope.

For 15 years, the SLR Camera Club (Samahan ng mga Litratista sa Rizal) has traveled to places like this — schools at the edge of maps, where help rarely arrives. This year marks our 16th Annual Outreach, and we have found one of the most isolated communities we have ever encountered.

When we visited last February 21, we saw classrooms without electricity, walls slowly falling apart, and teachers stretching every resource just to keep learning alive. We met children who smile brightly despite studying in the dark, despite empty stomachs, despite knowing how far they still have to walk home.

We realized something painful but simple:

They are not asking for comfort. They are only asking for a chance.

A chance to study with lights on.
A chance to eat so they can focus.
A chance to be safe inside their own school.
A chance to see a future beyond the mountains.

Your kindness can turn that chance into reality.

Your donation can bring solar power to their classrooms…
repair the buildings that shelter them…
provide meals that keep them coming to school…
deliver medical care to families who have none…
and connect them to the world through internet and computers.

Priority Projects Requiring Sponsorship
⚡ Classroom Solar Power Systems — ₱100,000
Ensures uninterrupted learning conditions while awaiting a government project scheduled no earlier than 2028.
🏫 Structural Repairs — ₱60,000
Rehabilitation of a deteriorating building wall to maintain a safe learning facility.
🛡️ Security Perimeter Fencing 250 meters linear distance — ₱100,000
Protection of school property and safety of students.
💡 Solar Perimeter Lighting — ₱5,000
Improved security and usability after daylight hours.
🍽️ One-Year Feeding Program
Directly increases attendance and improves student health and academic performance. Boxes of cheap canned goods enough for once a day meals for 48 students. Sardines, Argentina Luncheon Meat, Saba Mackerel , Freska Tuna. They will be mixed with home grown vegetables in the schools garden.

🩺 Medical & Dental Mission for 60 Families
Essential healthcare support for the surrounding indigenous community. Medicines are most welcome

🌐 Internet Connectivity via Starlink — ₱136,800/year (3 Adopted Schools)
Bridges the digital divide and opens access to modern educational resources.

💻 Computers & Educational Equipment
Prepares students for participation in an increasingly digital world.

Our goal is ₱450,000, but the truth is this:

No amount is too small when it comes from the heart.
Maybe you cannot walk the muddy trails with us.
Maybe you cannot carry the supplies on your back.
But you can still be part of their story.

You can be the reason a child studies under a light instead of darkness. You can be the reason a teacher keeps believing.
You can be the reason hope reaches a place where roads do not.

Please join us. Donate if you can. Share if you cannot. Pray for the children either way.

Because somewhere tonight, in a quiet mountain village, a child is dreaming of a future that only kindness can build.

Target of turnover to the school : May 9,10 2026
