Fourteen years ago, I attended a W@W Chat event of of . I was just another aspiring photographer in the audience back then. Quietly listening, learning, and trying to find my place.
Two of the speakers that day left a lasting mark on me: THE and THE . Their work, their stories, and the way they saw weddings completely changed how I looked at this craft. I went home that same day feeling inspired and right there and then I created my photography business page.
Fast forward to yesterday, I attended W@WCon 2, this time not as someone sitting in the audience, but as one of the speakers.
Standing on that stage, sharing it with people I deeply admire, was honestly overwhelming. The same people who once inspired me from afar are now people I’m fortunate enough to call my friends, Benz, Dino, and Jason.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared. Speaking in front of so many talented professionals is intimidating. Suppliers we consider the OGs of the wedding industry, people who were already thriving long before I even began my career, and those who are just starting out now, much like I once was, still trying to find their place in this amazing industry. But despite the nerves, it turned out to be one of the most beautiful and humbling experiences I’ve ever had. One I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
Back then, W@W gave me inspiration and direction when I needed it the most. Because of that, I will always make myself available to give back to the community that has given me so much. Thank you again, Mimma, for trusting me with this opportunity. And to everyone behind W@WCon 2 who selflessly shared their time, effort, and talent to make sure that everything goes smoothly as planned, maraming maraming salamat.
Fourteen years ago, I was sitting in the audience, dreaming. Yesterday, I was standing on the stage, sharing that dream. And if that’s not a full circle moment, I don’t know what is. 🥹🙏🏼
