Long before it became a photo spot, it was already a silent witness to countless journeys. ⛰️

The Fallen Tree of Mount Kabunian stood through seasons and stories, becoming a symbol of courage for every hiker who passed. It was where fear met bravery, where shaky steps turned into proud moments, and where many found a piece of themselves.

For me, this was more than just a hike, it was a dream. A place I had always wanted to reach, to stand on, to experience for myself. And somehow, it became everything I imagined and more.

It became part of the mountain’s history… a quiet rite of passage shared by so many. And now, after the fire, it’s hard to accept that it’s gone. It feels like losing a piece of something deeply personal, even if we only met it once.

And despite that loss, I’m deeply grateful that I got to stand there, to feel that fear and courage all at once, and to experience it before it became just a story.

Gone from sight, but never from memory.
