𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐀 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 — 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫. 🕊️

Forty years ago, in February 1986, millions of Filipinos gathered along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue and chose courage over fear and peace over violence. Through prayer, unity, and non-violent action, ordinary citizens stood together and showed the world the strength of a people guided by faith and hope.

Today, we remember the 𝟒𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟔 𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐀 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 not to take sides, but to take lessons: that freedom requires responsibility, that unity is stronger than division, and that love for country is lived through everyday acts of honesty, respect, and service.

May this remembrance inspire us — especially the youth — to become persons of conscience, compassion, and active citizenship.
