His Quiet Way Of Loving.

I don’t have many photos of Dave — he’s naturally camera-shy, and it took us hours to get him comfortable during the shoot. But that’s what I love about sessions like this: the raw emotions come through.

At one point, he even told Gwyn his face was going numb from smiling so much.

I told him, “This is just a glimpse of what to expect on your wedding day — consider it your practice session.” 😂😂😂

And yes, this was a three straight days of shooting.

Love Defined.

Love isn’t just about celebrating the good or enduring the bad.

Love is a journey — admiring the beautiful view as you walk together, and helping each other pick up the pieces when things fall apart.

Love is discovering who you both truly are, embracing even the difficult truths, while still cherishing the wonderful reasons you choose to walk hand in hand.

It’s staying by each other’s side even when it hurts, and sharing joy when life is kind.

Love is a story you continue to define as you grow old together.

Inspired by the Ifugao wraparound skirts for women.

"The traditional Ifugao costume has deep cultural roots, with garments originally woven from local materials such as cotton and abaca. Each design and color carried meanings that reflected one’s social status. Traditionally, men wore a bahag (loincloth), while women dressed in a wrap-around skirt and, at times, an upper garment called lamma, or went bare-chested during daily labor. Though modernization has brought synthetic fabrics and Western-style clothing, the cultural symbolism and heritage embodied in traditional Ifugao attire continue to hold great significance today."

Firsts are always exciting, though I felt a bit anxious about this one. Whenever I do themed shoots for the first time, I usually research how they’re captured in photos. This Filipiniana shoot was my first — a free project for a student’s school requirement. I looked through Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration, and I’m glad it turned out beautifully!

🌿

The Filipiniana is a traditional Filipino attire that has beautifully evolved over time — from the classic baro’t saya or terno to modern interpretations featuring new fabrics, designs, and styles that blend tradition with contemporary elegance. It stands as a symbol of Filipino heritage and identity, embodying pride, grace, and the enduring strength of Filipino women.
