After a long day, we were sent off by a lovely red sunset in Bauko. It’s amazing how a beautiful view can somehow make our tiredness fade away.

The venue of our activity yesterday was a child development center, or simply put, a daycare center. But working in a daycare with children is far from simple. If you work with children, you need to be patient, caring, and loving toward them as if they were your own. Because without genuine love, I don’t think anyone can teach the way they do.

Teachers are built differently, especially those who teach the younger grades.

I didn’t get the chance to become her pupil, but I still remember Auntie Cristina, or “Mam Cristina,” as the children often called her. She taught at the daycare in Taccong for many years and continues to teach Bible stories at church up to this day.

I’m sure she helped shape many of today’s successful professionals, and even now, she continues to instill godly values in Sunday school children. It’s not Teacher’s Day or anything, but I remembered her yesterday. To all the teachers out there—kudos. 🤍

And often, we forget to appreciate them. Sometimes, we even criticize them because we think their job is easy—maybe because they make it look easy.

And sayang naman the pictures if I won’t post them. So, hi Auntie Cristina—iyaman.

Oh, to be a child, to run and be free. ☺️

Back then, kids would say, ‘Are you looking at the moon? I am too. It feels like we’re close to each other.’ Now we’ve got VC, FaceTime, and everything… and somehow we still miss each other’s calls. 😁
