30 years of painting the skies yellow

On this day Cebu Pacific celebrates its 30th anniversary since taking to the skies! In 2008, they started operations of the ATR 72-500 for their inter-island routes.

Stranded Qatar Airways 787-8 at CEB

Recently, tensions in the Middle East have risen to unsafe levels for commercial aircraft to operate. This has prompted multiple Middle Eastern carriers to ground their flights, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at airports across the globe.

In the video, you see one of several aircraft's of Qatar Airways stuck in the airport.

Improvements in NAIA Terminal 3

Many changes have occurred in Terminal 3 since my last visit. The air conditioning was so cold throughout most of the terminal, and I tried the new Self Check-In kiosks but needed three attempts before successfully checking in. The new Self Bag Drop Counters were still managed by staff and inoperative during my transit, while the Tambayan Food Hall felt like a mini mall with multiple restaurants and food chains inside. I was surprised to see a small exhibit on how NAIA came to be. They could expand it into a mini museum featuring Philippine aviation history. Upon arriving from Runway Manila, I was puzzled to find all fourth floor establishments vacated or relocated to other floors, along with changes to passenger seating in the departure area and improvements of airport facilities like the comfort rooms and security area. The new E-Gates and Security Biometrics are installed throughout the terminal but not yet fully operational. With these improvements, I'm looking forward to a better Terminal 3 than in previous years.

New improvements that I have noticed:
-Colder Air conditioning
-Multiple Self Check-In kiosks
-Multiple Self Bag Drop Counters
-New Tambayan Food Hall
-Small Display for the History of NAIA
-New layouts of establishments, seatings, and facilities
-Multiple E-Gates and Security Biometrics

Note: Some of the improvements are already in-use or currently underway
