Comfortable Christianity Never Rescues Souls
Satan does not need every believer to deny God. Sometimes all he needs is a comfortable Christian. Spiritually asleep. Relaxed. Entertained. No prayer. No burden for souls. No fight. No growth.
While believers stay comfortable, real people are fighting real chains.
Some are drowning in alcohol. Some are slaves to ci******es. Some are trapped in drugs. Some are consumed by lust. Some are destroying their homes through sin. Some laugh in public but cry in secret. Some are searching for hope and cannot find it.
The Bible says in
Matthew 9:37 kjv,
“The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few.”
Few laborers.
Not few souls.
Not few broken lives.
Not few people crying themselves to sleep.
The problem is not that sin stopped destroying people. Sin is still wrecking lives every day.
Alcohol destroys.
Drugs destroy.
Lust destroys.
Sin destroys families, destroys minds, destroys futures, and leaves scars that people carry for years.
The Bible says in
John 10:10 kjv,
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.”
Destroy.
Not improve.
Not help.
Destroy.
And while destruction keeps moving, too many believers stay asleep in comfort.
The Bible says in
Proverbs 24:11 kjv,
“If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain.”
People are being pulled toward destruction every day.
Lives are collapsing.
Homes are breaking.
Children are suffering.
Souls are searching.
And the most terrifying part is not merely that people suffer in this life.
The most terrifying part is this:
What if they never clearly hear the gospel from believers who already know it?
What if they never hear that salvation is not found in religion, good works, self-improvement, or trying harder?
What if nobody tells them that salvation is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, believing that His finished work is sufficient and enough, that He died for our sins, shed His holy blood, was buried, and rose again?
The Bible says in
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 kjv,
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
Because the greatest tragedy is not a ruined life.
The greatest tragedy is a soul entering hell without hearing the message of salvation clearly.
The Bible says in
Mark 9:44 kjv,
“Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
No comfort there.
No second chance there.
No escape there.
Only regret.
Only terror.
Only endless suffering.
Comfortable Christianity feels good for a moment.
But if believers continue sleeping while the world suffers, many lives will continue to be destroyed by sin, many souls may continue without hope, and many may go toward hell without ever hearing the good news that could have been shared.
Eternity is longer than comfort.
