BLASTOFF: SHCCI GRADUATES 2023

"No goal is ever too hard to achieve with hard work, prayer, compassion, and perseverance. So, keep your mind in the bigger picture ahead of you." These are the words of the administrators, instructors, faculty and staff of SHCCI which they tell their students.
For years of providing quality education, SHCCI is continuously soaring to the greatest heights. Today, June 05, 2023 at SHCCI Covered court marks the 73rd Commencement Exercises. It was celebrated with the theme: ACE Graduates in Synodality: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.

The celebration started at exactly 7:00 in the morning with the hooding ceremony facilitated by the faculty and staff and Processional march of the graduating students, parents, BOT, faculty, and staff.

It was followed by the Eucharistic Celebration with the Main Celebrant, Most Rev. Martin S. Jumoad, D.D. The concelebrants were Msgr. Maximino A. Naron, Jr., Rev. Fr.- Vicar General, Juniber A. Roma- ACE Finance Officer, and Rev. Fr. Celestino C. Palma-School Director.

Before the Graduation Rites, Most Rev. Martin S. Jumoad, D. D. blessed the diplomas, medal, and certificates which will be given to the graduating class.

Finally, at exactly 10:30 in the morning, the most awaited part has started.The Graduation Ceremony started with the Entrance of colors and flags of the Philippines, Vatican, Archdiocese of Ozamis, ACE, and SHCCI facilitated by Mr. Arnold S. Magdalan and some Criminology students.

The Dean of College, Dr. Rosa M. Lantaca, presented the 220 graduating students, which were petitioned by Rev. Fr. Celestino C. Palma, and confirmed for successfully completing the requirements of CHED by Most Rev. Martin S. Jumoad, D.D.

Afterwards, the distribution of certificates and medals followed which was facilitated by the Program Heads of Teacher Education, BSOA, BA, and Criminology Department.

This batch has two graduates who were awarded as Cum Laude namely: Arniel B. Biol Jr. and Mirasol Dela Calzada both from Teacher Education: BSEd Science. There were also 18 Honorific Awardees, 14 Community Service Awardees, 29 Loyalty Awardees, 3 Deportment Awardees, 2 Fr. Timoteo Ruben Awardees, 3 Teaching Excellence Awardees, 3 Best in Religion Awardees, and 1 Best in Machine Shorthand Awardee.
The Latin honors and awardees were filled with joy, love, and fulfillment as they stepped on stage to receive the medals and certificates.

After the awarding, the graduates sang the Graduation Song entitled, "Together (Synod on Synodality 2021-2023). Then, inducted as official members of the Alumni Association by Rolando B. Akiatan. MPA. The graduates also pledged their loyalty and sang the Alma Mater Song together with the alumni of SHCCI facilitated by Mr. Jay A. Lansang.

Finally and officially, school year 2022-2023 has ended with overflowing happiness and fulfillment.

Congratulations Graduates of Batch 2023. Soar High and Gush Forth to the highest peak of the real world bringing pride and honor to SHCCI, your Alma Mater.

Sacred Heart College of Calamba, Incorporated once again strengthens the value of sharing and generosity through the Alumni and Community Extensions OUTREACH PROGRAM at Mauswagon, Calamba, Misamis Occidental, Philippines.

The program started with an opening prayer to honor the presence of the Almighty Father led by Mrs. Aida Bentolero, a resident of the Barangay. In the Opening Message given by Mr. Rolando B. Akiatan, MPA, the Alumni and Community Extensions in charge, he acknowledged the generous and supportive heart of the President of the College, Most Rev. Martin S. Jumoad, D.D., the ever dynamic School Director, Rev. Fr. Celestino C. Palma, and to the intelligent Dean of the college, Dr. Rosa M. Lantaca. This community extensions program wouldn't be possible without them.

Afterwards, the program was graced by the dance presentation by the CSG Officers headed by the CSG President, Ms. Claudine D. Baldecasa. Before receiving the goods, the residents have enjoyed and were entertained by the little show prepared for them.

The Barangay Captain , Hon. Roman M. Caspe heartily expressed his words of gratitude to the institution for this very memorable and early "Christmas Gift".
He said: "Ang among Pasalamat sa makanunayon nga pagpangga ninyo sa among Barangay nga sa kadaghan nga barangay niining lungsod sa Calamba, Barangay Mauswagon ang inyong napilian. Maong kami mapasalamaton ug dako kaninyong tanan sa SACRED HEART COLLEGE."

The distribution of goods immediately followed. There were 157 recipients who were called one by one to receive the packed goods facilitated by the officers together with Ms. Gina C. Revelo-the college librarian, Ms. Jojie Cabahug-school nurse, and Mrs. Melanie T. Lucino-SAS Coordinator.

Afterwards, the residents of Mauswagon enjoyed the "UKAY-UKAY" PART of the program as they freely choose the Clothes given to them. All clothes are worth the wait because "WALANG TAPON. LAHAT MAGAGANDA."

In the end, all went home with happy faces and full-packed with joy and gratefulness.

All thanks to the Administration, faculty, staff, students, CSG officers, and alumni of SHCCI who generously offered help, financial support, donation in cash and in kind. All Glory to God in the highest.
