On April 17, 2026, the University of the Visayas- Pardo Campus (UVPC) successfully held the 4th and the Final Recognition, honoring the dedication, determination, and perseverance shown not only by students, but also by the people behind their success, which are their parents and guardians who faced odds and uncertainty to sustain their children and secure a quality education for them. This day does not only serve as the day where class rankings are formally recognized, it is the time when actual development is evident, not from the amount of medals that students got, but from the consistency that they have maintained starting with 1st quarter up until 4th quarter.

Words of wisdom and encouragement was garnered by students as they listen to our guest speaker, Ms. Janine Suico, LPT, golden lessons and better understanding of the reality of our society became more comprehensible as she shares her very own, realistic experience back when she was a young student herself. Her story became a testament that great achievements require great sacrifices. Despite temporarily quitting school in consideration of their financial problems, she did not lose hope in achieving her dreams, instead she fought back with burning determination to conquer the hardships of life, where in the very end, the greatest fruit of her labor was finally harvested.

At last the Recognition Day has come to an end, yet it is symbolizing the actual beginning of students' journey as they face new challenges for the upcoming school year. Medals achieved by students made noise as they walk for the exit of colors, not as a sign of arrogance, but to proudly show the sweetest fruit of their labour. Wide smiles crossed parents' faces while they witness their kids carry their medals and certificates , showcasing the amount of heavy hardwork that they have carried just to make a path for the education of their children.

The University of the Visayas (UV) Pardo Campus formally conducted its graduation ceremonies for the Grade School, Junior High School, and Senior High School programs on Thursday, April 16, at the UV Gymnasium.

Clad in their green togas, the graduates now embark on the next phase of their academic journey.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Anna Lou Cabuenas, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Joel Serad, Keynote Speaker; Mr. Jose M. Gaje Jr, School Principal; and Mrs. Leonila S. Baylosis, President of the UV Pardo Alumni Association.

𝗨𝗩 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗢 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗦

THE University of the Visayas (UV) Pardo Campus successfully conducted the 11th Junior High School Moving-Up Ceremony, 74th Grade School Commencement Exercises, and 9th Senior High School Commencement Exercises on April 16, 2026, at the UV Main Campus Gymnasium.

Centered on the theme, “Pilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang May Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao,” the ceremony highlighted the graduates’ readiness to lead with competence and integrity.

The event recognized outstanding students from each grade level for their academic achievements.

Furthermore, various special distinctions were conferred upon deserving learners, including the Don Vicente Gullas Leadership Award, Lady Josefina Gullas Loyalty Award, Athlete of the Year, Best in Work Immersion, and the Doña Modesta Singson Gaisano Scholarship Award.

Present were Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Lou C. Cabuenas, School Principal of the Basic Education Department, Mr. Jose M. Gaje Jr., UV Pardo Alumni Association President, Mrs. Leonila S. Baylosis, and keynote speaker, Dr. Joel Serad.

The ceremony was attended by completers and graduates, including students from Kindergarten, Grade 6, Grade 10 – A (Environmentalism), Grade 10 – B (Respect), and Senior High School graduates from the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) tracks, together with their parents.

From the thrilling contests to the exploration of Danao City's hidden gems like Sikad Tour and Tawsan Mangrove Forest, every moment was a memory to cherish. The experience was a testament to their dedication, skill, and passion for excellence.

On March 11, 2026, the University of the Visayas Pardo Campus (UVPC) Grade 10 students showcased their seafood dishes, highlighting the powerful cooking and creativity skills of Visayanian students. Each dish was filled with purity, effort, and cooperation.
