Generative AI is pathetic. It will never replace people because it can never know the feeling of seeing, and knowing, that someone is comfortable with someone. It will never know the taste of good gyoza. It does not gigil when looking at a cat doing the big stretch. It does not know what it's like to be stuck in traffic with people you don't know, it does not know what hot cement smells like. It does not wake up in the morning, look at their window, and hope that everything goes well.
Generated AI, specifically the recreation of a human on screen, has no sense of direction—it has no gaze, and it can't connect with anything because it does not recognize what it's looking at in the first place.
