What a race. What an experience. And what a great joy it is to be here. Rider no. 85 and finished at 67th. 🙏🏻🇵🇭
Going to France alone, with no team with me and no time to get acclimatized and to really learn the track fully, I still went because I wanted to learn. To learn more where I’m still lacking and work from there. It’s an opportunity I wouldn’t want to miss. I wanted this to be an eye opener not only for me but for those who play a big role in our local cycling community too. That we can do more. And that we should do more. 🙏🏻
The crowd here in Les Gets is unbelievable. Just rooting for all nations. No toxicity at all. Even though my lungs were searching for more air due to elevation, being able to ride with a smile and seeing spectators cheer even louder because of that really makes my heart fulfilled.
To everyone who supported me on this journey of mine, thank you. I may be thousands of miles away but I didn’t feel alone because of all of your love and support. And I’ll do my best to train even harder and get better results.
See you all again soon back home. 😘
PS.
A Pinay, ate Rea Anna, took this photo during the race! The only Pinoy I’ve met in Les Gets. It was so lovely meeting her and her family. I’m grateful they came to watch. 😭
