The Second Apparition of the Our Lady of Fatima

Second Apparition - June 13th, 1917

On June 13th, the visionaries were not alone, more than 50 people were present at the scene.
Little Jacinta could not keep the secret that the three of them had agreed to keep, and the news about the apparition spread through the town.

This time, it was Lucia who began to speak:

– What does Your Grace wish of me?

– I want you to come here on the 13th of next month, to pray the rosary every day, and to learn to read. Then I’ll tell you what I want.

Lucia asked Our Lady to cure a sick man.

– If he converts, he’ll be cured within a year.

– I wanted to ask you to take us to heaven.

– Yes, I’ll take Jacinta and Francisco very soon. But you will stay here for some time. Jesus wishes to use you in order to make me known and loved. He wishes to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world. I promise salvation to those who embrace it; and these souls will be beloved of God like flowers arranged by me to adorn His throne.

– Will I remain here alone?

– No, daughter. Does that make you suffer much? Do not get discouraged. I will never leave you alone. My Immaculate Heart shall be your refuge, and the path that will lead you to God. Our Lady, as the first time she appeared, she rose with majestic serenity and moved away towards the east.

June 13

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, I consecrate to you my heart, my soul, my life, and my entire being. I entrust to you all my thoughts, my desires, my actions, and my sufferings.

I ask you to guide me in all that I do, to help me to love your Son, Jesus, with all my heart, soul, and strength. Obtain for me the grace to live in accordance with God's will, and to be a faithful disciple of your Son.

Protect me from all evil, and lead me closer to your heart.

Amen.

SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Today, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, a feast that reminds us of Christ's boundless love, mercy, and compassion for all humanity.

The Sacred Heart symbolizes the burning love of Jesus for every soul a love that endured suffering, rejection, and even death on the Cross for our salvation. His Heart remains open to all who seek forgiveness, healing, and peace.

In a world often marked by division and indifference, the Sacred Heart of Jesus calls us to trust in His mercy and to imitate His love through acts of charity, kindness, and forgiveness.

Let us consecrate ourselves and our families to the Sacred Heart, praying:

“O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.”

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus reign in our hearts, our homes, and our world.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

St. Anthony, you always helped those in need.
I fervently seek your heavenly intercession now for (here name) who is ill and in need of your miraculous assistance.
Give strength to (name) so that he/she may experience God’s blessings and goodness at this time.
May his/her sufferings be lessened and confidence in God’s Divine Providence be increased.

St. Anthony, you were a true friend to the sick and offered them your compassionate care in powerful acts of healing.
Stay near to (name) now with your protection.
Console our anxious hearts and grant that our physical and emotional sufferings be a source of purification and growth for eternal life.

"Behold this Heart, which has so loved men that It has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify Its love. In return, I receive from the greater part [of humanity] only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrilege, and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in this Sacrament of Love [Holy Communion].". It is for this reason I ask thee that the first Friday after the octave of the Blessed Sacrament, be appropriated to a special feast to honor My Heart by receiving Communion on that day, and making reparation for the indignity that It [My Heart] has received. And I promise that My Heart shall dilate to pour out abundantly the influences of My Love on all who will render It this honor or will obtain My Heart being given this honor."

O Most Holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you and will a lively sorrow for my sins. I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my afflictions; give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessings on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Within your heart I place my every care. In every need let me come to you with humble trust saying, Heart of Jesus, help me. Amen.
