Things we capture: Character.

More than just letting the subject look at the camera and smile, we sit down and engage with them as we learn about their quirks and aspirations. What makes them them and rule out whatever doesn't. Like a form of meditation, we stop and look at the environment at the present. What makes now now and rule out what ever doesn't. We are mere vessels of the story, the story isn't us. If we listen closely enough, we can hear it speak through the rustling of the leaves and if we look closely enough we can see it dance through the chemistry between man & woman. Character is a non-negotiable. Every film should have it.

Not knowing how to act is the best thing for your film. It only means you have no choice but to be real and that's what we're after. This pizza ain't the most perfect looking pizza but it's the best we've ever tasted. Why? Because the ****'s the real thing.
