Jabonga traces its origins to a village known as "Celopan," a name derived from the bamboos growing along the riverbank that were made into smoking pipes. Celopan was later renamed Habongan, which eventually became Jabonga.

Jabonga has a lot to offer, including cultural heritage, waterfalls, beaches, and other tourist destinations. The Municipality of Jabonga is blessed to have two sources of livelihood: seawater and a lake. As you can see in my photos, the first picture was taken in Poblacion last year, and the second was taken on August 26, 2024. Both pictures represent the hard work of the Habonganons in providing fresh fish for the community, especially their families.

Through my passion for photography, I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as the Youth Ambassador for Culture and Arts 2023 in my municipality, in connection with the Sangguniang Kabataan Agusan del Norte Federation. By God's grace, this achievement is an answered prayer.

As my pictures show, I hope everyone will give attention to our fishermen and provide them with the opportunities and services they deserve. Without their efforts, we would not have fresh fish from the lake and sea.

As the Youth Ambassador for Culture and Arts 2023, it is my honor to showcase my work by capturing events that represent the agricultural abundance of my municipality and the talents of the Habonganon people.
