This shoot seems to have aged well 😅

I shot this several years ago, and it was probably only my third time using my first vintage lens, the Helios 44-2. I remember posting these before and getting some flak for not nailing the focus, and for not fully knowing how to handle the lens yet.

I sold that lens a long time ago, and I’ve added new ones to my lineup since then. But I still remember the thrill of going fully manual, even today.

As frustrating as it can be to fumble a shoot because you didn’t slow down and get the ex*****on right, that challenge is part of the process. Medyo sadista, yes 😂 But when you finally get it right, it makes the struggle worth it.

Maybe that’s also what has kept me shooting for over a decade now, the happy accidents, the growth, and the constant reminder that there’s always things to try and something new to learn.
