A Brief Story of Me

"Photography is my passion. I taught myself everything. I started completely from scratch. I got a Kodak in the beginning. That one with two lenses on it. It did these panoramic shots. I thought i'll never need anymore than this. Then I realized over time learning so many new things and seeing what other cameras can do that it was time to upgrade lol. When I started it was difficult because people weren't taking me serious. For a few reasons. I was new, I didn't have a big portfolio and I was from the Philippines. It was frustrating. I wondered why aren't people working with me? Then I sent my cv into a lot of places to see what would happen. A magazine gave me a chance and i've been with them ever since. That was my big break. If you are starting out no matter what kind of job it is find the things that you enjoy the best out of it and focus on those parts instead of the negative. Doesn't matter if you are doing laundry, washing dishes or any kind of job like that. Be positive and it will make you happier. Find your inspiration and find what you love. Then everything will come your way because of the growth you achieved during that positive process. If you focus on the negative and the negative will come forward". - Jessie Palanca
