Meet the Oriental whip snake (πΌππππ©πͺπ‘π‘π π₯π§ππ¨ππ£π) locally known dito sa bayan ng Libacao as "Ban-banon", Ang ahas na to ay commonly makikita din dito sa Pilipinas. Isa itong arboreal species meaning mahilig silang umakyat sa mga puno at matatas na damo. Makikita din sila sa mga forest edges, coconut plantations, agro-forestry areas, parklands, wooded residential areas, and rural agricultural areas. Ang Oriental whip snake is mildly venomous meaning Ang kamandag nila ay hindi life threatening sa tao.
NOTE: Snakes are important to the environment and to humans many ways, because they help maintain the balance in the food web, Snakes are predators that keep prey populations in check, which helps maintain balance in the ecosystem. Without snakes, prey species populations would increase to unnatural levels. So please if you see a snake don't kill them.
